LOTSO

Lotso!!!

MARK "The Spark" CAGUIOA

Jayjay Helterbrand: Mark "The Spark" Caguioa? You can't stop him.

Coach Jong: Mark Caguioa? Pag pinigilan mo mahirapan ka lang. No question about his heart and his willingness to win.. His competitive nature.. Sometimes he goes on his own not because suwapang sya but because goal lang nya is just try to win the game.

Who is Mark Caguioa? Why is Mark so popular? After I blogged about Jayjay, I decided to create another version for.. Err.. Uhm.. My love. (I could die with all those looks, right? Stop that, it's unethical. This is my blog, I will say what I want to say.. Hahaha!)

Ana Lisa Gabatin: Si Mark... Maangas... Never say die talaga! May tatak Jawo!

@gesima30: Mark is GINEBRA'S SPOKESPERSON. When he says, he SAYS!!! And when he SPEAKS, WE LISTEN and WE BELIEVE!! :))

@rhoannie13: Mark Caguioa is the Man,, hindi nawawalan ng Never Say Die spirit,,ang original pare ng bunso namin!!!The Spark of Ginebra!!!

Aryen Neyra: For me, Ginebra without Mark Caguioa is a different team. MARK CAGUIOA is Barangay Ginebra Kings. Though si Jawo ang no. 1, para sa isang batang katulad ko, na lumaki na sa Caguioa era, CAGUIOA IS CAGUIOA! He's the reason kung bakit naging makabuluhan ang no. 47 sa buhay ko.

@graceypets: PRIDE. Hindi papatalo basta-basta.. :)))

@aprildeguzman: I think Mark Caguioa is the most misunderstood player in the league. People find him mayabang, but he's the most genuine person in there, really. I just know. He's not afraid to speak his mind, and he plays with the heart. He values the fans so much.

I was supposed to post a novel pero baka i-ban ako ni Mark Zuckemberg(tama ba?) LOL! Siya nag-iisa,walang katulad, the best na THE FURIOUS! (:

My mangki once said, "Binuhay lang talaga sya para pumuntos, bakit ba hindi nila maintindihan yun?"

Who is Mark Caguioa? For me, he is the epitome of the never-say-die spirit. Kung gano ko nirespeto at minahal si Living Legend Jawo, ganun din ang pagmamahal ko sa kanya for his contributions. He may be a lot of things. Mayabang, maangas, mayabang, maangas, mayabang, maangas. Wala e. And I'm not angry or what. He may be mayabang and maangas. Well, totoo naman. Mayabang sa court, dahil may ipagyayabang naman. Maangas? Maybe, maybe not. What I love most about Mark Caguioa is his passion for basketball. You will feel the excitement, the thrill. Especially when Ginebra is down like 10 pts or so, in just a matter of no more than 2 minutes, lamang na sila.

I can blog about Mark Caguioa the whole day, and all you'll hear from me are good good things about him, really. I'm just glad he's back, healthy and ready to bounce back, fit to grab the crown back.

Starbucks Planner 2011

With a little help from @iamclaude24
i was able to complete
my Starbucks stickers to get that
Starbucks Planner 2011 I've been dying to get.

This year, will take note, will reflect, will organize.

JAYJAY "The Fast" HELTERBRAND

We've been missing Jayjay a lot. I meant, the fastbreak moves, the 3point shots, the assists, the once unstoppable The Fast. But, is Jayjay Helterbrand really history now?

I've asked my BGK Jamships Family who is Jayjay to them, for them. Here are the answers:

@ianccpancho Ginebra's IGNITION.

@aprildeguzman He's such an inspiration. Very passionate when it comes to his fam and work. Kung si Mark ang epitome of our Never Say Die spirit, si Jayjay ang epitome of patience and hardwork. From benchwarmer/Bal's supersub days up to now.

Engr. Jamie Halili Jayjay is more than the cute chinito guy in the court. Jayjay for me is the reason why nainlove ako sa basketball! Consolation talaga na super gwapo sya. Haha. Ang landi landi ng sagot ko. Haha!

@iamclaude24 Jayjay, is the only reason why 13 is a lucky no. to Ginebra Fans, especially to me. He runs FAST through our hearts, just like his performance in the court. As long as he plays lively in the court, focuses on the sure shots, cheers and encourages his fellow players, he will always be the FAST that a LUCKY 13 can be! :P

@gesima30 JJ for me is part of "THE" GINEBRA(of this generation)!!! I can not see Ginebra without him... HE SIMPLY IS PART OF WHAT GINEBRA IS RIGHT NOW!!!! :))

Ana Lisa Gabatin Di ko pa sya nameet personally, but based on what I see, sya yung taong magaling makisama at mabait na tao. Pag nakikita ko sya with the other players he is easy to along with. Ganun din sya with players from other teams.

@rhoannie13 JJ is everything to Ginebra and my everything,he is Mr.Fast who can make you heart beat fast everytime he is in the court, hihi!!He is the best cheerleader,my lucky 13 and my MVP!!!

I also received feedback from some PBA and Ginebra friends..

@darkdesigns JJ seems disinterested, lacking motivation the last 3 conferences

@rhenDman JAYJAY's family owns DEL MUNDO School in QC..He owns a Starbucks Franchise sa US @_@

I don't want to think that Jayjay Helterbrand is history now. I have never stopped believing in him. I may have opposed some issues involving his private life but that won't stop me from loving him as a person, as an athlete, as the one and only The Fast of the Barangay Ginebra Kings. He may be the missing link right now. But I still believe that Jayjay, like Mark Caguioa, will make a big comeback.

Still Proud Of My Ginebra

It's no secret that I am a big supporter of the Barangay Ginebra Kings. I've been following this team since time immemorial. I've followed almost every conference. I can say, I breathe and live Ginebra. It's in my blood, it's in my heart, it's in my system.

This conference, the Philippine Basketball Association Philippine Cup, my Ginebra played really well, awesome. They've shown the intensity like we've never seen them played like that before. They've showcased the never-say-die spirit like this is the first time they will battle for a league. I am literally running out of words to describe how intensed they played, how emotional they were in the games.

I'd like to say my piece.

Mark is back. He really is back. He may not have the legs and agility of the Mark Caguioa who won the PBA Rookie of the Year award in 2001, but he is as furious.

Enrico Villanueva. I must admit I have belittled this giant many months ago. I thought I would never really learn to appreciate him until he played big roles in the playoffs. I salute this guy for OWNING the boards.

Rudy Hatfield is stronger than ever! Yes, no doubt about that. He may not be as fast as he was in his younger years, but he is not called the H-Bomb for nothing. This man, dominating the rebounds, and this guy's unexpectedly firing shocking 3pointers. YOU. ARE. THE. MAN!

Jimbo Aquino, rookie-superstar-in-the-making. Whenever I see this young man play, I would always think of Mark Caguioa when he's still in his rookie days. Like Mark, Jimbo would always make quality minutes as soon as he's inside the court. He is just amazing. Mark my word. He will be the UNSTOPPABLE ONE.

Mike Cortez. The cool cat. The cat has unleashed superb fiery performance in the playoffs.

Eric Menk, the Major Pain back in his vintage form. We cannot ask for more. I can say, we can always rely on this big guy. He is not the MAJOR PAIN for nothing, and we know that.

Ronald Tubid. The fearless. When the opponent's shooter is just unstoppable, give that to Ronald and he can stop the guy. And he will. Ronald's tight defense is like a real pain in the ass. Even Mark Caguioa said that "Mahirap bantay si Ronald, nakakainis sya.."

JC Intal. Plagued with injury during the eliminations, it didn't stop him from trying to recover as fast as he could so he can contribute to his team. He has always been the rocket, no doubt about that. And young fans going crazy over his dunks and 3pointers. He is just one amazing superstar in the making.

Willie Wilson. He is one guy you can always rely on, I'm telling you. He is the SCRAPPER. Doin decent points, assists, and rebounds for his team. He is always reliable. When he is inside, expect him to do his thing. Very tight defense and quick muscle reflex to always get the ball.

I could perhaps write the whole day for my Ginebra and I will not run out of stories. But this is not over. Just not over yet. I am looking forward to the next conference when I'll get to see the team again. And I am not losing hope. We can still win the championship. And we will.

I'm still proud of my Ginebra. They fought hard, they did not give up. Go Ginebra! Til next conference, NEVER SAY DIE!

Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides

Who loves Captian Jack Sparrow? Well, who doesn't?

I'm one of the millions that followed Johnny Depp's Pirates of the Caribbean movie series that featured him as the evasive Captain Jack Sparrow. This year, the fourth installment, On Stranger Tides is set to hit the cinemas to once again capture our hearts, adult and kids alike.

"When Captain Jack Sparrow crosses paths with the enigmatic Angelica, he's not sure if it's love -- or if she's a ruthless con artist who's using him to find the fabled Fountain of Youth. When she forces him aboard the "Queen Anne's Revenge," the ship of the legendary pirate Blackbeard, Jack finds himself on an unexpected adventure in which he doesn't know whom to fear more: Blackbeard or Angelica, with whom he shares a mysterious past." --source, Yahoo

Plus factors in this movie:
  • Penelope Cruz will star as Angelica
  • Another hit adventure/action/comedy movie by Walt Disney
  • We only have 4 months to wait for this! Set to hit worldwide May 2011..

This one's taken at Glorietta 4 yesterday :)

I love my Nikon L21!

New Zodiac Sign Assignments

New Zodiac Sign assignments?

This is all over the news. New zodiac assignments due to moon's gravitational pull on the planet Earth that caused the planet's position to change in relation to its axis. Thus, making the original star alignment to also change by about a month. Ophiuchus is born.

According to Minnesota Planetarium Society board member Parke Kunkle, the ancient Babylonians based zodiac signs on the constellations the Sun was "in" on the day a person was born.

However, the moon's gravitational pull made the Earth wobble around its axis creating a one-month bump in the stars' alignment.

If you are a person that relies or believe in horoscope, would you agree to this change? How would it affect your views in life?

Capricorn: January 20 - February 16
Aquarius: February 16 - March 11
Pisces: March 11 - April 18
Aries: April 18 - May 13
Taurus: May 13 - June 21
Gemini: June 21 - July 20
Cancer: July 20 - August 10
Leo: August 10 - September 16
Virgo: September 16 - October 30
Libra: October 30 - November 23
Scorpio: November 23 - November 29
Ophiuchus: November 29 - December 17
Sagittarius: December 17 - January 20

According to reports, Ophiuchus is represented by a serpent tamer, holding a serpent with his two hands and is associated with higher education, healing and medicine.

My zodiac sign did not change. I'm still a Leo. How about you? What are your thoughts on this?

Wizarding World of Harry Potter

It's the Hogwarts Express! In this photo, you'll see my brother Dan posed before the Hogwarts Express train in the book Harry Potter series. I fell in love with the book, I fell in love with the movie.

Last year, my brother went to Universal Studios, Florida and checked out the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. He quite enjoyed it, really. He said the butterbeer is good! :)

Fleur Delacour? Haha. Not. Her schoolmates, yeah.. :)

Viktor Krum? Yay! Haha.. :)

In this photo, my brother and his friend Philip went for a photo opportunity with Neville Longbottom and his frog.. (whuutt?!) And an unidentified girl from the Slytherin House. No, I'm just kidding. Hahaha! Quite interesting though. I really would love to go there too!

Photos were grabbed from my brother's facebook account. :)

LeBron James: God Sees Everything!

I have always been vocal about my admiration, love and respect for Dwyane Wade. He is my 2nd Michael Jordan. Since he got drafted by Miami Heat until now.

Then there's LeBron James. Bigger. Broader. More aggressive looking. Who is LeBron? And who wouldn't know him? In every major city in the world, you'll see his face with that big check, in NIKE establishments. He entered National Basketball Association (NBA) the same year DWade did.

Why is LeBron so controversial? Why is he being hated by some? Why is he being discriminated or disparaged? Is it because he has not given his then team Cleveland Cavaliers a championship ring? Is that it? Or is it because of what happened last year when he moved to Miami Heat to join with his buddies Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh?

If we can still remember, it caused BIG news, lasted for weeks and even months -- LeBron announced he's leaving for Miami Heat to Dan Gilbert's surprise. Dan wrote a hate letter, Cavs fans created hate videos, and social networking sites were busy with everything that has got to do with the superstar.

I was never a LeBron James fan. Until he moved to Miami Heat. I have developed this respect for this man, not for leaving Cleveland and moving to Miami. But, for things that most of us may have overlooked. He has a heart. He gave up a considerable amount of money for his happiness. He made a choice. He chose to be with his friends, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh. He did not retaliate to his haters, at least not directly. He remained humble and kept his silence.

And just a couple of hours ago, he made a noise, not with his big numbers in a Miami Heat game, but because of his controversial tweet. James said in his twitter “Crazy. Karma is a b----.. Gets you every time. Its not good to wish bad on anybody. God sees everything!” The Los Angeles Lakers destroyed the Cleveland Cavaliers in their last match up, 112-57 giving Cavs their 11th straight loss. The tweet, for what most of us would think, is for Dan Gilbert who predicted James would take Cleveland's curse to Miami.

Indeed, LeBron James is a superstar, love him or hate him, that's up to all of us, really.

Photos were grabbed using Google search.

GINEBRA: No Retreat, No Surrender!

I will blog about Ginebra.
I will blog about Ginebra.
Dang! I will blog about Ginebra!

Pak! We lost in Game 4 of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) Philippine Cup semifinal series vs San Miguel Beermen. How? Why? Who did? Who didn't? It's hard to blog about this one when I have not watched a single game. (I have my reasons, you will think I'm crazy if I tell you what it is.)

Anyway! I got the game updates through text messages and tweets from my fellow Ginebra fans. Apparently, crucial free throws were wasted and there were a lot of miscues, too. Dang! But I guess that's fine.

Game 1, we're down at 0-1. Game 2, 0-2. But I have never lost my composure. I have kept my cool. I prayed hard and harder, "give us this win, please please please.." But nah. I waited, patiently for my prayers to be answered. Then Game 3 came, and we did it! Mark Caguioa (the apple-est of my eyes) was in his furious form. Rudy Hatfield fired unexpected 3-pointers. And the barangay crowd was just amazing.

Game 4, we didn't make it. We lost by 4 pts. Crucial charities and turnovers. How come I can still go to work? What and why the heck is that? Did i (mature) as a fan? No more rantings, no more bad (hair) days, no more profanity in my facebook status updates? Or, is it my faith that does the wonder? Faith to the Never Say Die team I have been following since time immemorial. And hope that everything will turn out in our favor. Now it's just a day before Game 5. Our back against the wall, for the nth time. This will test my faith. This will test my Never Say Die attitude. As what I've been saying since Game 1, it's not over until the series is over.

Ryan Reynolds is the Green Lantern

Michael Jordan and Dwyane Wade: My Favorites

I love Michael Jordan. I am lucky that during his era of greatness in basketball, I am already a fan of the sports. I have memories of Air Jordan defying gravity. I have memories of his Airness scoring as if Chicago Bulls is his. I have memories of MJ23 answering Dikembe Mutombo’s blocks. I have the love for basketball in my heart. It will never fade. Now, I’m all grown-up, I still love basketball and I follow one person that I admire so much. I love his humble beginnings, I love his story. His name is Dwyane Wade. :)

Beef Pepper Rice

Beef Pepper Lunch. I consider this one of my comfort foods. Thin-sliced tender beef, some greens, corn, and butter inside the rice. Pepper Lunch would always be an option if we’re in Greenbelt or Powerplant Mall. :)

This plate is below 250 pesos.

Rating: (in a scale of 1-10)

Food: 10
Service: 8
Cleanliness: 8 (except that when you step out of Pepper Lunch, you'd still smell the food you ate)

Brown Rice, Danggit, and Sukang Sasa

I am a fan of native foods. Most especially seafoods. This danggit is very popular for its yummy taste. Dried fish. Very popular from Cebu, a province in the Philippines. This is healthy, it doesn’t absorb too much cooking oil. The brown rice is also from the Philippines. As we all know, brown rice is better than the white rice. And the vinegar or suka in the vernacular is from the Philippines as well. Although I have skin allergies, I can’t help myself when Mama prepares this for dinner.

Baby Niknik

 Niknik, Nike, Nikey

Niknik belongs to the Maine Coon family.
In this photo: Niknik got his vaccine so his legs' muscles are sore.
The veterinarian advised us to get something warm
and put it in his legs to ease the pain. :)

I said i’ll blog about travel, movie, food and sports. But this is too cute!!!

MEOW. This is Niknik, our pet cat. He’s turning 2 years old in May 2011. He is a Maine Coon cat. :) i love Niknik so much because he is sweet and playful. :)

Harry Potter is Forever

Harry Potter Deathly Hallows Part 2. I can’t wait. I just saw this picture when I was googling about Harry Potter, Deathly Hallows, adult Harry, adult Ginny. It’s cute, no, cute is an understatement. It’s awesomeness. Indeed, Harry Potter is forever.

I've read the books, I've watched the movies. Proud member of Dumbledore's Army. Proud Potterhead and I'm a Mudblood.

Twitter-verse

I tweet, a lot. About Ginebra, BGK Jamships Family, etc. I follow people that bring me positive vibes. I unfollow senseless tweet-ers. I unfollow boastful people. I unfollow non-Ginebra friends. Hahaha! :)

Mark Caguioa, Ginebra Playing Coach Na?

A friend's watching this replay of Game 3 Semifinals Series between Ginebra and SMB when he suddenly thought of something funny. This is just a screenshot so the quality is not really good. But here's the crazy part though:

Mark Caguioa: Ayt, here's the play, ipasa niyo lang saken ang bola. Ako na bahala. Ayt?

Eric Menk: That's bloody brilliant! Wait, is he a playing coach now?

Coach Jong Uichico: Mark, ako yung coach. Ako ang coach niyo! Wag mo naman ako agawan ng trabaho..

Hahaha! By the way, Ginebra won that game. Series is now at 1-2 (SMB is still up).

Kamayan sa Palaisdaan sa Laguna

Kamayan sa Palaisdaan sa Laguna. We were supposed to go to Enchanted Kingdom last Sunday but it rained while we’re in SLEX. We thought of going to Tagaytay but Jill and RC were in sleeveless and shorts, major major fail da ba!!! Haha! So then, we just went to Laguna. There’s this picnic place in Laguna, really cool ambience. There’s this man-made lake with floating picnic huts. Plus, the air is fresh, really. Sadly, we experienced poor service there. We had to wait for over 60 minutes for our food to be served. I will give this resto a zero in a scale of 0-10, 10 being the highest.

We also saw this albino water buffalo.

BGK Jamships Family

BGK Jamships Family
This is not a fans club. It’s a friendship thing, or, more of a family thing. And our common denominator, is our love for GinKings.

Rehistrado Ako Sa Barangay Ginebra

For my 1st post, I chose this one. Being a die-hard Ginebra fan, I conceptualized a statement shirt, shared the idea with my BGK Jamships family and decided to have it printed.
